On Thursday, Dahut and I wound up in hell, somehow. [Okay.] We had to guide Arthur and Gregor's souls and... [...Well, there's no getting around it.] ...wake them up from their dreams. But Dahut had to wake me up from mine first.

Oh. [well. that makes sense.] I was wondering why it was just the two of them... that makes some sense.

Mm. We only saw them briefly--we were able to talk to them directly, actually, but only for a second.

[So that's... he still isn't quite sure what to make of it, honestly.]

...Still. It's good to know we can reach them in there.

Yeah--although I couldn't remember this place while I was there. Now that I'm back, I'd wondered if it was something similar to the way we communicate with the senior crew, but I have no idea how to study that thing without taking it apart.

[And he isn't going to do that and risk breaking their connection, so. His bioengineering degree... rotting away... art reflects life.]

It does sound similar. We could always try some tests without breaking it?

I dunno. We have all of these laboratories here - maybe we could try to create a replica somehow.

[Hmmm. He thinks about this.]

The first ghosts we met here--they said that they needed to rest after a while, but they'd still be around. Hans is the one who was working on dream-sharing research, though I think his was a hallucinogen... But even so, I wonder if we could call him back and see if he knows anything about the machine?

[And even if he doesn't, maybe he could share science-y things that their assorted nerds could adapt... interrogates a ghost about drugs]

I think that's a pretty good idea. We have their expertise available, so we might as well find out what we can.
