It's magical and based in my abilities. In terms of sicknesses, an apothecary's healing is usually more specific when it comes to targeting... I'd have to know a bit more about the condition to give a good answer.

Though...You have died. [ you don't have to just say it ] So. When I perform a revival on a body that was ill, it is usually revived without the illness.
[ SO THERE'S THAT, I GUESS lead with that the first time jeez ]
[ can you imagine if i was like "you have to convert to fantasy catholicism"

That's correct, yes. The only real 'catch' or 'stipulation' would be that it takes a lot of magical energy out of me, but that can be restored fairly easily. [ just need a good nap or a bunch of plums. ]
Generally, I need to be there at the moment of death to perform the actual spell correctly, but with the technology afforded to this place and based on some of the readings of information we've had as of late, that is something the technology here has been capable of doing this entire time.
...I'm not sure if I can show you this without you... disappearing again. But -
[ there's a beat, and he pulls something up on his iris... ]
This document begins with discussions of the soul, and that a replicated revival is only possible with the presence of the original host - I would agree. The rest reads...
"...If so, does that mean it’s possible to bring back those who have died on this ship? Their bodies are in the cryopods and we have the technology to revert those bodies to the state of when they were employed."
So. That technology has always been present. At least according to this author. The rest of the document is related to the CEM waves.
[Luke's own IRIS isn't working, so leans over to look at Temenos's with his little pixellated eyes... or eye, if he's Woboji. This was shared publicly so I'm saying it's fine.]
The CEM waves... that's related to what causes the storms, right?
[ sweating profusely sharing information with the dead like WHAT'S ALLOWED
anyhoo you're probably right. he lets woboji slash luke see the iris and read the full thing once it seems that he's not glitching. ]
Correct. There's a cult on this planet that worships the waves themselves. If you all find any information about the CEM waves, we need to know about it - we can come up with some sort of a code to use in the HERMES if necessary.
Each odd interference we've had - such as the one I was on the first week - was related to clearing up bunches of these storms. I've a theory that potentially we are entangled in a massive storm of these waves, based on the idea that the prior crew was attempting to utilize them, but it's really only conjecture at the moment.
A large storm like that--wouldn't that show up on the readings? The senior crew ought to know, if that was the case. [Hmmmm.] Unless whatever's affecting them happened after they entered the storm, so they don't realize what they're looking at.
The latter. Based on some of the descriptions I've seen of the storms, it doesn't seem entirely impossible that a massive one could cause such memory distortions as we have had here.

I see. [Hmmm.] That goes for hereditary illnesses, too? And there aren't any... catches, or stipulations?
[Temenos like actually yeah you have to join my emo band afterwards]

Luke nods absently, looking like he's filing this information away--but his attention sharpens at the last bit, and he looks at Temenos.]
What do you mean?

It's definitely not impossible. That wouldn't explain how we all ended up here, though.
