I don't imagine it'll be that easy. But I do believe we'll make our way out of this, one way or another.

[Last week, when they'd briefly reunited with the living, Luke had told countless, encouraging lies. Unable to run and hide, he'd faked faith that he didn't have, the same way he used to promise Rosa "forever" despite knowing he had nothing of the sort.
Now, though... now, it's a little more genuine. And Diluc is such a calm, confident person--being honest with him doesn't seem too bad.]

[ what diluc knows of luke is this: he's hides his pain well, and he's stronger than he looks. there's courage in honesty, and in setting aside your own fear to assuage those of others.

[This is a very sweet sentiment and good advice that unfortunately bounces off of Luke like it's hitting a force field, but he smiles anyway, because he is an obnoxious liar.]
