[ me as him tbh. but that's fine. enjoy your biscuit. ]

That makes two of us. [ dryly. but his vibes aren't as rancid as his tone indicates. they're actually pretty calm for the moment. ] It was okay. I wasn't going to stay for that long, but things got kind of interesting to watch after a while.

[ it was nice to be able to sit and judge everyone. ] Diluc said it was probably everybody trying to let off steam and I think I agree with him.

[ insane was the actual word he was going to use but he's being polite because currently he likes luke enough. ]

We haven't really started the job yet, so I guess it's fair to do it right now anyway. The last thing we need is people being too mad about the situation while we're all still cramped in here.

[ it was already wild during opening weekend. he'd hate to see how it'd be after they were here for even longer without an outlet. ]

[ yeah! ]

Aren't some people already violent even without the alcohol?

[ baiken. ]

...but with as many weapons as people have here maybe you have a point.

That's better. [ haha. but overall, so far, yeah! they are not doing so bad. this will not last when people start dying. ]

The nanites are blocking a lot to make everybody on the same level. Everything from learned abilities to things that are a part of a person's genetics. I haven't figured out what does and doesn't count, but that's just what I've heard so far. The different things people wound up with are strange, too. What makes one person show up with a sword but another ends up with a bug?

[ AGAIN I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT FROM YOU. ]

Sure. [ he just does the same because he's also been keeping notes. wild. ] What do you want to know about first? I'm still going through and gathering data but...I can try.

[ shuts you gently in your pod. ]

Yeah. Magic, mostly, though there're some other things that're more like physical traits. I'm trying to understand if there's a pattern to what is and isn't allowed. It seems like the magic can be replicated inside a simulation room, but nothing can be used outside.

I was thinking that, too. It's missed some stuff, I think, but other stuff they've managed to pinpoint and disable without any other interference. There has to be a way to rewrite the nanites themselves if they were programmed in the first place, but that'd require getting them out or sending in another that'd change the function.

...which is where it gets complicated.

It'd depend on how the previously-absorbed nanites are already operating in our system. Nothing says they'd affect all of us the same either. You gave a pretty good example of how they could be programmed to determine its own levels. There are too many of us from too many different worlds to have a completely solid base.

I think we're going to have to monitor ourselves for a little bit to see if the nanites cause any reactions. That's the best guess I have.

Yeah? [ he seems okay with that, even if he does not know luke will be dead. ] Sure. We could use all the notes we can get even just for comparison. If we see discrepancies in what we're observing that'll at least give us an idea of what to look into further.
